Montezuma Castle National Monument contains one of the best preserved and most easily accessible cliff ruins in North America. A 1/3-mile, paved trail leads visitors to the five-story, 20-room cliff dwelling of the Sinagua Indians, occupied nearly a millennium ago and as recently as 600 years ago. The monument is nestled into a limestone recess above Beaver Creek, northwest of Camp Verde and just off the interstate.
Open daily Jun - Aug: 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.; Sep - May: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Entry fee (7 day pass): Adults $5; Children 15 and under are free.
